It is with great disappointment that we report that Adam left the Ranger team at the beginning of October. Adam has been a Ranger on the Lickeys for six years and we thank him for all of his hard work and support during that time. One of Adam's many strengths has been the work that he has done with volunteers - both individuals and groups that work in the Country Park. He has led with enthusiasm and tremendous knowledge, inspiring those around him.
Adam played an active part in researching and developing the 'Great Walks' booklet and he has instigated many successful projects over the years.
Adam has secured a new post in Solihull and we wish him well and hope that he will enjoy his work and the challenges that lie ahead.
Work on the Boathouse Roof

Work on the roof has now been completed and it has proved to be extremely worthwhile. On Tuesday May 12th, the roof was jet washed and we were amazed with the quality of the timbers revealed, some of which had been hidden away for many years under algae and moss. Click here to read more...
Quad bikes and motor bikes

As reported in the previous Newsletter, there has been an increase in the number of quad bikes and motor bikes illegally using the Country Park. It is physically impossible to prevent these bikes entering the Park and we would ask anyone who sees them to inform the police on 101, the police non-emergency number. The police are unlikely to respond to individual calls but over a period, they will be able to build up a picture of the problem and hopefully they will then take action. Please also inform the Rangers on 0121 445 6036.
