Working to protect and enhance the Lickey Hills and their environs

Habitat Heroes are a group of volunteers who meet each Tuesday at 10:00 at the Visitor Centre on Warren Lane (B45 8ER).
We carry out a variety of conservation and maintenance work on the hills such as paths and ditch clearance, heathland clearance, coppicing and much more. If anyone would like to join us we work from 10:00 until 2:00, strong footwear such as walking/work boots, old clothes and gloves are recommended. We generally stop for refreshment at about 12:00 so a flask would be useful. A good sense of humour and a lot of energy are essential.

The National Fire Chiefs Council - NFCC has posted the following message:
"Most wildfires are preventable.
Avoid using disposable barbecues in open spaces, take litter home, and never discard cigarettes, matches or glass bottles where they could ignite dry vegetation.
Together, we can reduce the risk, protect our environment and support our emergency services during this period of heightened wildfire activity."
